Product Care

Ensure you always follow the instructions below to get optimal results from your Mukko products. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in; fire, hazard or injury. Mukko takes no responsibility for improper use or damage to other property and or items.

 

Candles

• Never leave a lit candle unattended.
• Keep away from flammable items.
• Do not move a lit candle as the jar and wax become hot.
• Keep away from children and pets.
• To get the maximum burn time from your candles, you need to set the candle memory. This is done on your first burn by allowing the melted wax to reach the outer rim of the glass. Each time the candle is lit after setting the memory, the candle will burn to this rim.
• Trim wicks to 5mm before each use using scissors or a wick trimmer. If wicks are too short the wax may not burn all the way to the rim which will cause (tunneling), and if wicks are too long the wicks may appear to mushroom causing black soot to form on the glass.
• Only burn candle on a level, heat-resistance surface.
• Avoid exposure to direct sunlight or drafts.
• Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time.
• Stop burning when 15mm of un-melted wax remains.

 

Reed Diffusers

• Flammable liquid.
• Do not ingest liquid.
• Do not light reeds.
• Keep away from; children, pets, naked flame and heat at all times.
• People suffering from perfume sensitivity should be cautious when using this product.
• Use gloves when handling used reeds.
• Do not place the diffuser directly onto; polished, painted, plastic,  leather surfaces or on electrical equipment, as accidental spillage may cause damage to certain materials.
• Wipe spills immediately. 

 

Reed Diffuser Refills

• Please ensure all above points from "Reed Diffusers" are followed.
• Take care when pouring refill into Mukko glass diffuser bottles as spillage will cause damage to the product, if any spills occur wipe immediately.
• Use a coaster or plate under your diffuser to keep any oil drips from damaging your surfaces.
• If you are refilling your glass diffuser with a new scent ensure it is thoroughly cleaned and dried in between each use.
• Carefully remove the cap and use a funnel to pour refill into diffuser bottle, once filled add cap back on and insert your reeds.
• It is recommended you change your reed sticks every time you refill your glass diffuser to ensure they disperse efficiently as over time they will collect dust.
